Band and Choir

Hello everyone,

This year at Heritage Collegiate, we are making every effort to offer a band and choir program. Currently, the public health regulations do not allow for “normal” choir and band rehearsals, but we are expecting that to change. Currently, the PEI, NB, and NS school systems have allowed band and choir to go ahead, so we suspect that NL will likely follow suit in the coming months.

That being said, we would love any students who are interested to sign-up ahead of time. The lunchtime rehearsal time for each group has yet to be determined, and will be selected after we gauge the level of student interest. Students can sign-up for concert band, jazz band, and choir by clicking on one of the following links :

Jazz Band:

We hope that we can get band and choir underway very soon, and we are looking forward to the students’ return!

Best wishes,

Jordan Mills B.Mus., B.Mus.Ed. Music Specialist | Heritage Collegiate

School Development Surveys

Dear Parent/Guardian,
School Development Surveys are conducted annually to gather feedback from students, staff, and parents/guardians to inform the school development process. The survey results will be provided to your child’s school and used with other data to identify the school’s strengths and challenges. Your child’s school will then create and implement a plan to build on successes and address areas of challenge.
The survey is anonymous, which means that we cannot connect your survey responses to you. We encourage everyone to participate so that we have the most accurate representation of family perceptions at your school.

Please complete the survey by March 20, 2020 by clicking on the following link:

https://www.research.net/r/SDFamily1920EN

If you do not have internet access, you may contact your school to arrange access to a school computer or mobile device for survey completion.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the school development surveys, please contact:
Allan Johnson at 709-729-7831 or allanjohnson@gov.nl.ca or
Patricia Emberley at 709-729-6850 or patriciaemberley@gov.nl.ca
Thank you for your participation and for being a valued member of your school community.
