What do you think of Junior Kindergarten?

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is seeking input on the development of a guiding document and phased-in implementation plan for a Junior Kindergarten program for all four-year-old children in the province.

Your input is needed. If you want to participate, please go to EngageNL and complete the online survey. You will need to register before you can complete the survey.

2019-2020 School Calendar

The official 2019-2020 school calendar is now available in the documents section of this site under the folder called yearly calendars.

Parents/Guardians are asked to consider this calendar when you are planning family activities for the upcoming school year to minimize your child’s absence from school.

Breakfast Blitz

Our school is participating in a Breakfast Blitz, to help fill our KES Cupboards, on Thursday, February 28, 2019.  We are asking you to please send along a breakfast item or a donation to support our school’s Kids Eat Smart Breakfast Club.  If you wish, you may make your donation online at www.kidseatsmart.ca and designate our school to receive your gift.  Remember $20 is breakfast for a child for one month! It’s important that we fill our KES cupboards to ensure our children start their days well nourished and ready to learn.

To avoid getting too much of one thing and not enough of the other, we would like classes to donate items as per their grade. See below.

Grade 7’s- juice (apple, orange, fruitopia or a 2 L of milk)

Grade 8’s – pk of cheese slices

Grade 9’s- pk of granola bars, or cereal bars

Grade 10’s – pancake mix or loaf of bread

Grade 11’s – pk of English muffins

Grade 12’s – any of the items listed for the other grades

Thank you. Your support is greatly appreciated!
